Mountain View Helicopters, in addition to quality flight training and professional helicopter charters, has an Aircraft Maintenance Organization (AMO) certified by Transport Canada. This AMO is a certified Robinson Service Center and is also approved to work on the Bell 206 model of helicopters. The main advantage of this AMO is that all of the MVH aircraft are worked on in house. This results in minimum down time due to scheduled inspections and adds a valuable mechanical component to our flight training program.
MVH students benefit from direct visual aids to answer their questions regarding airframes, engines, and avionics from our knowledgeable maintenance staff. In addition to maintaining the MVH fleet this AMO cares for numerous privately owned aircraft. Mountain View Helicopters (AMO 68-07) is a Robinson Helicopter Approved Component Maintenance Facility! Our current list of certifications includes:
- R22 clutch maintenance procedures and 12-year inspection
- R44 clutch upgrade (tapered-roller bearings) and 12-year inspection
- R22-R44 main gearbox upper sealed bearing replacement and 12-year inspection
- R22, R44, R66 main rotor blade assembly replacement procedure and 12-year inspection.
- R22, R44, R66 spindle and bearing assembly removal from, and installation in, main rotor blade
- R22, R44, R66 spindle bearing replacement.
- R44, R66 hydraulic servo upper seal replacement.
We are one of the few Robinson Authorized Service Centers in Canada with a component maintenance rating.
