Our Springbank Airport facility has been in operation since 1995. We train pilots for commercial or private licences as well as provide advanced and recurrent training for many pilots working in Western Canada. At Mountain View Helicopters Flight School our training program includes not only basic flying skills, but also a concentration on the advanced skills that will provide the most benefit after receiving a commercial license.
Because Mountain View Helicopters Flight School is a commercial operator we are able to design a course that provides students with a competitive advantage through training in skills areas that are specifically sought by operators.
Our training facility located at a fully operational Transport Canada airport near Calgary, AB, provides several advantages that other locations may not be able to offer. These advantages include: the exceptional flying weather found on the prairies, the close proximity to the mountains for use as a valuable training tool, and the experience gained through frequent contact with air traffic controllers.
