Additional Flight Training

Basic flight training will be in conjunction with the Transport Canada Instructor Guide and Transport Canada Flight Training Manual.

As a commercial operator, Mountain View has determined that it is beneficial for additional training to be given in the following areas:

• Water bucketing
• Long line vertical reference
• Mountain Flying Techniques
• Practical 'on the job' experiences

We are one of the few schools offering an introduction into the operational world of helicopter flying. Entering the industry with this extra knowledge and training will improve safety and success in your career.

Private Licence - Transport Canada minimum requirement 45 flight hours
Foreign License Conversions

Simulator Training

Mountain View Helicopters Flight School is pleased to provide a state of the art, in-house, certified flight simulator. As instrument training is a Transport Canada requirement for the Commercial Helicopter Pilot program, simulator training provides a cost effective alternative to meet this requirement. This option is available to allow up to 5 hr of valuable airtime to be used elsewhere in the course.
